Once a year, the American South and the Appalachians come to northern Dalsland!
Do you love banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, upright bass and vocals? Did you like the film score in Oh Brother Where Art Thou or are you curious about genres such as folk, bluegrass, cajun, blues and country? Or are you perhaps one of those looking for genuine and unique cultural experiences and creative forward thinking in the countryside? Then this is the festival for you. Folk på Vänna is a festival packed with music from artists from both the USA and Sweden. There is also a food truck, bar, homemade southern food, country DJ, cornhole courts and the opportunity to camp in the area. From the moment the festival opens and into the night, Vänna is filled with music, both outside on the festival grounds completely unamplified and with full sound and lights in the beautiful barn, with the atmosphere at its best!
All this framed by wonderful nature in a rural environment that is cut and cut for music, with the lake a stone's throw away. Our century-old music barn lights up the evenings and the swinging music and its lyrics and stories touch and go straight to the heart. Not infrequently the party continues with artists jamming in the barn, while the sound of the great blue heron and the light over the lake create a magical atmosphere.
